DIFX Academy, Ecole Sign MOU

DUBAI, 13 October 2006 — The Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX) Academy and the Ecole Superieure des Affaires (ESA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in educational matters, including running joint courses. These include an introduction to options, futures and other derivatives workshop for two days, an advanced derivatives workshop for two days and several Islamic finance courses. The roll out of the first course is scheduled in November 2006 and both plan to jointly launch a variety of additional activities early 2007.
Du Receives Cornerstone Award

DUBAI — du, the new telecommunications company in the UAE, has been honored with a Cornerstone Award in recognition of its extraordinary leadership in adopting and deploying Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB) technology, using IP (Internet Protocol) and next generation capability. Mustafa Kaddoura, executive director-fixed network of du accepted the award at the annual Broadband Properties Magazine Summit in Dallas, Texas. Kaddoura also presented a paper on FTTH and FTTP with Advanced IP Services at the conference. FTTH and FFTB are the fastest-growing global broadband technologies, with significant deployments in Asia, Europe, and North America.
