DAMMAM, 15 October 2006 — Singer Abubakr Salem’s new album, which contains songs written and composed by the singer will be released in a few days.
The album also features a duet by Abdullah Al-Rowaished and Asma Munawwar. Yemeni singer Karamah Mirsal is also in the album. Abubakr told the Al-Watan daily yesterday that this was his first official album released under the Rotana music label.
He added that most of the lyrics in the album, which was recorded in Cairo and Dubai, were written by the poet, Nasser. He said the album was an attempt to bring out new sides of Arab songs in the Gulf.
