RIYADH, 16 October 2006 — The Riyadh municipality’s Eid Al-Fitr festivities this year a women’s play titled “Mother’s House.” The play will be performed during the first 3 days of Eid at the King Fahd Cultural Center. A large number of prominent figures in both Gulf and Kingdom radio and television will act in the play. The municipality invites all women to attend. The play has been written by Noura Al-Abdullah, and the script by writer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalaf. The play addresses, within a comic context, the relations of a mother with her daughters and her relations with her daughters-in-law.
The municipality is also staging the play “The Children of Riyadh” — a comedy with a disciplinary aim. The drama group ‘Dunya Al-Masrah L’Atfal’ (The World of Theater for Children) is presenting the play that features a number of well-known actresses, according to the Al-Madinah Arabic newspaper.
