JEDDAH, 18 October 2006 — Tayyab Al-Badri, a senior editorial staff member of Arab News, died here yesterday. He was 62 and had been in poor health for some time.
A Sudanese national, Al-Badri joined Arab News in January 1990 and worked as a translator in the editorial department. He leaves behind a wife and three daughters.
Because of his pleasant personality and ready smile, he endeared himself to the entire staff at Arab News. The editor in chief and all members of staff offer their sincere condolences to the bereaved family.
