JEDDAH, 8 November 2006 — General Presidency of Youth Welfare President Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd yesterday approved the 15 sport federations that will have entries in the 15th Asian Games to be held in Doha, Qatar from 1 to 15 December. The federations are: Saudi Equestrian Federation, Saudi Athletics Federation, Saudi Swimming Federation, Saudi Volleyball Federation, Saudi Handball Federation, Saudi Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation, Saudi Archery Federation, Saudi Gymnastics Federation, Saudi Judo and Taekwondo Federation, Saudi Karate Federation, Saudi Boxing Federation, Saudi Cycling Federation, Saudi Bowling Federation and the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation.
Football for Blind in Riyadh
Blind Football Club in Riyadh play Taif Club tomorrow at the start of the Blind Special Football League at Al-Saiygh Stadium in Riyadh. The tournament is being run by the Saudi Committee for Blind Sports. An exciting match is expected between two of the best blind soccer teams, according to Al-Riyadh Club football match official Issa Al-Shajiri. (Razan Baker)
