MANAMA, 16 November 2006 — Popular Lebanese singers Nancy Ajram, Elissa and Fadl Shaker, along with UAE singer Hussein Al-Jesmi, will be holding musical performances in Bahrain over the Eid Al-Adha holidays early next year, the daily Al-Watan reported yesterday.
Nancy and Hussein will hold their performance on the second day of the vacation, which falls on Jan. 2, while Fadl and Elissa will be holding their performances on Jan. 3.
The events are scheduled to take place at the Gulf International Center for Conferences at the Gulf Hotel.
The event organizers said that they are striving to hold monthly functions each with the participation of a celebrated star. The events would also be coinciding with the Bahrain government’s plan to promote tourism. The government announced a few days ago that it would set up a body for the promotion of tourism by the New Year.
