JEDDAH, 20 November 2006 — The Saudi-Australian Joint Commission meeting, which was held in Riyadh on Saturday, was successful, according to Saudi ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Hasan Talaat Nazer. He hoped that the meeting, which was presided over by Commerce and Industry Minister Dr. Hashim Yamani and his Australian counterpart Warren Truss, would lead to boosting bilateral trade ties. He said commercial exchange between the two countries reached $2.08 billion last year while the number of joint investment projects rose to 21.
