JEDDAH, 1 December 2006 — The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), will be participating in the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry symposium tomorrow. The symposium is on IDB Group services for the private sector.
Apart from the presentation of the ICD services to the private sector in its member countries, ICD CEO and General Manager Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Solaiman will focus on the products and services offered by ICD to private sector entities and also on ICD’s experience in dealing with the private sector in member countries.
He said, “In order to develop and enhance the economic well-being of member countries, the role of the private sector has to be enhanced and with this objective, ICD endeavors to assist private sector projects by providing them with the requisite financial and logistical support, especially for projects that have a strong developmental impact on the country and region where the projects are located.”
He will also highlight ICD’s successes in financing and participating in 78 projects in 18 member countries so far.
