MUSCAT, 2 December 2006 — Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri will hold wide-ranging talks today with his Omani counterpart aimed at cementing bilateral ties.
The Omani press highlighting the historical relations between the two countries said Kasuri’s three-day visit at the invitation of his Omani counterpart Yusuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah will bring the two governments and the people closer. Kasuri was scheduled to arrive in Muscat late last night from Lahore.
“Pakistan and Oman are ready for a big leap,” said a front-page headline in the Times of Oman.
