DHAHRAN, 2 December 2006 — For Saudi businesses concerned about security, Bahrain is the place to be, Dec. 4-6, for the ASIS International Middle East Security Conference and Exhibition 2006. Held at the Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Center under the theme, “Security Solutions for a Flourishing Economy,” the conference will be featuring top notch speakers including Richard Clark, the former US counter terrorism czar, and Dr. Jessica Stern, lecturer at Harvard University and author of “Terror in the Name of God: Why Religious Militants Kill.” More directly addressing the security challenges faced by all organizations in the Kingdom, with be keynote speaker Saudi Aramco Senior VP Industrial Relations Khalid A. Al-Falih.
In addition to the keynotes, the conference will be holding security workshops with a focus on both physical and virtual security. Topics from “The Effectiveness of CCTV” to “Aviation and Airport Security” and “Ten Deadly Mistakes in Information Security” will be covered in sessions led by experts in their respective fields. The conference’s goal is not only to highlight products and services to aid in enhancing organizational security, but also to encourage Middle East business leaders and security professionals to think about policy requirements for effective risk management and business continuity. Some unusual security issues are being presented for the first time as well.
