RIYADH, 7 December 2006 — A Saudi man learned a valuable lesson about verbally harassing women at a local school, the daily Al-Yaum reported yesterday. After repeated warnings from local members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the man was arrested for his allegedly lewd behavior. His punishment? He was lashed 20 times in front of the students, who told the newspaper that the man is probably now too humiliated to show his face near the school again.
