TAIF, 19 December 2006 — The Haj Welfare Forum in Taif organized a blood donation campaign for the benefit of pilgrims admitted to hospitals in the resort city.
Seventy-five expatriate workers from different Indian cities donated blood during the first phase of the campaign held at King Faisal Hospital. The second phase will be held next Friday when a similar number of Indians are expected to donate their blood.
Opening the program, Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, director of the hospital, praised the Indian community for organizing the campaign during Haj. V. Jamal, president of the forum, presided over the opening session.
Consular Visit
JEDDAH, 19 December 2006 — A consular team of the Consulate General of India will visit Abha on Dec. 21. It will stay at Hotel Al-Rayah (07-2270654/2270719). The team will receive applications from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and hand over the processed documents on Friday between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
