Fifteen projects were approved at a meeting in Riyadh by its administration committee presided by Yousf Ibn Ibrahim Al-Bassam, vice president and the Kingdom’s representative to AGFUND. On behalf of AGFUND President Prince Talal, the body also endorsed the budget for 2007 and reviewed other global developmental projects.

These projects, which meet AGFUND’s financing standards, have been submitted by international organizations — World Health Organization, UNESCO, UN Development Program, UN Population Fund, International Labor Organization, UN Industrial Development Organization, International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Center for Training.

The meeting also endorsed support of three Arab national societies, three Arab regional projects and two Arab governmental projects.
