DUBAI, 28 December 2006 — Datamatix is organizing the GCC Sports Development Conference‚ at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel in Dubai on Jan. 16.
It will focus on the development of sports in the Arabian Gulf region and recommend ways to develop sport and sporting activities, administration and the overall marketing efforts.
Introducing the event, Ali Al-Kamali, managing director, Datamatix Group, said, “Sports are an effective social catalyst for youth and a stimulus to social improvement.

The event will bring out the various issues faced by sports persons administrators, related businesses, and authorities in improving popular interest in sport and develop a professional sports culture which can create more opportunities for all those involved.
It targets the sports industry of the region giving an opportunity for the professionals associated with it to discuss the economic role of sports.
A special emphasis will be provided on case studies from the region on efforts aimed at improving the quality of sport.
