JEDDAH, 8 January 2007 — A 28-year-old divorced woman was flooded with e-mails from thousands of suitors after she recently posted a message on her website expressing her desire to get married on several conditions, the Al-Watan daily reported yesterday.
The young woman, who was separated from her husband after 12 years of marriage, said she was looking for a new husband who would not insist she leave her parental home. He should also accept the fact that he cannot spend every night with her because she has to spend time with her three children.
She added that the prospective husband does not need to spend money on her or her children. The last condition, however, was that the relationship with her should be kept a secret. About 98 percent of suitors willing to accept her conditions were between ages 17 and 24.
