RIYADH, 17 January 2007 — Malaysia yesterday signed three agreements with the Kingdom in the field of IT security. Addressing a press conference, Badlisham Ghazali, chief executive officer of Mutlimedia Development Corporation, said the agreements would bring the two countries closer in the field of information technology.
A memorandum of understanding was inked between SCAN Associates Berhad, a Malaysia Status Company (MSC) and Versos Pvte. Ltd. Under the agreement, SCAN will be a partner of Versos Pvte Ltd. and begin collaboration in the areas of IT Security, especially in the development, implementation, management and operations of Security Operation Center (SOC) in the Kingdom and in the region.
“Under the agreement, both parties, SCAN and Versos, will capitalize on their strength especially on SCAN’s capability in designing, developing, and implementing SOC using its own solutions and Versos’ capability in management services, IT Risk management and Single Sign-On identification,” Ghazali said.
