JEDDAH, 25 January 2007 — The International Islamic Relief Organization, Saudi Arabia (IIROSA), added another first to its credit. It has become the first Islamic aid group to establish its website on the Internet in multiple languages, including Chinese, Russian, French and Spanish.

“The organization’s global work can now be known by any of the one billion users of the Internet by browsing the site: www.iirosa.org,” said IIROSA Secretary-General Adnan Khalil Basha. “It is yet another step that enables us to inform others about our work and our commitment to serve humanity around the world.”

Basha said that the site provides information related to IIROSA activities in the areas of refugees’ rehabilitation, heath care, education, social welfare programs, community development, seasonal projects, emergency relief program and Qur’an memorization.

“The IIROSA serves the victims of natural disasters and wars, such as orphans, refugees and the displaced, all over the world. We serve them in a spirit of relief work, and we would like to share our vision through our website by providing regular updates,” Basha said.

“This is an important part of our message,” he added.

The IIROSA is a charity organization under the umbrella of Muslim World League and functioning internationally. The organization depends on the commitment of individuals for resources. “We are grateful for their financial and moral support,” said Basha.
