JEDDAH, 27 January 2007 — The Bangladesh Embassy has automated its passport processing and labor services. Ambassador retired Maj. Gen. S. M. Ikramul Haq launched the automation software developed by HMR Systems in Riyadh. The ceremony was also attended by First Secretary Kazi Abul Kalam and Rafiquz Zaman, CEO of HMR Systems. Zaman told Arab News that the embassy’s decision for software automation was a welcome measure. “We welcome the step and are proud to have been a part of it,” he said, and added it would ensure better consular services to the members of the Bangladesh community.
