TABUK, 1 February 2007 — A citizen in the northern city of Tabuk is suing municipal authorities for what he says is negligence in road safety, the daily Al-Madinah reported yesterday. Musa Al-Musarrahi said that low-lying branches of trees planted as part of a local beautification project have caused accidents by blocking views at intersections. Al-Musarrahi said a friend and a relative have died because the municipality wasn’t trimming the branches of the trees.
