JEDDAH, 1 February 2007 — Passport officials arrested a Yemeni expatriate who was allegedly impersonating a Saudi for over a decade. The Yemeni had somehow managed to get the identity papers of a Saudi, Ahmad Sari, and fixed his own photograph on it to pose as a Saudi. He was caught at the Al-Shomaisy checkpoint on the Jeddah-Makkah highway while attempting to smuggle foreigners without resident permits, Al-Madinah reported yesterday.
