AL-JOUF — Police in Al-Jouf announced on Tuesday that they had found 38 stolen cars and 196 vehicles wanted by police, as well as 71 vehicles suspected of involvement in criminal activities in the past year.
Releasing statistics for last year, Col. Daman Al-Daran, spokesman for the Jouf police, said they had arrested 184 wanted suspects, retrieved 43 items stolen from cars, confiscated illegal drugs in 33 cases, and dealt with 15 cases of counterfeiting. They recorded 37 cases for illegal arms possession, arrested 200 overstayers and dealt with 13 cases of sexual harassment.
He said round-the-clock surveillance, in coordination with other security agencies, is the main reason for the successes.
