DAMMAM, 11 February 2007 — London’s City University awarded an honorary doctorate to leading Saudi industrialist Maan Al-Sanie, deputy chairman of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EPCCI) and chairman of the Saad Group, at a function held at the university recently.
Al-Sanie was honored with the doctorate in appreciation of his outstanding services in economy. He has also made contributions in the educating and training of Saudi youth in medicine, technology and management and was instrumental in sending Saudi youngsters to both local and foreign training centers.
The deputy chairman of the EPCCI is the founding president of the Saad Group of companies which was established in the early 1980s.
He has also been attributed to having made remarkable achievements in the fields of economy and investment in the health, education, construction and banking sectors in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Switzerland.
