JEDDAH, 13 February 2007 — Two Saudi border policemen were wounded in a shootout with gunmen who opened fire at security forces while trying to enter Yemen yesterday, the Saudi Press Agency reported quoting an Interior Ministry statement.
It said the men opened fire from a vehicle while driving toward the border at high speed. The driver was wounded and the passengers were arrested, it said.
The statement said investigations were under way without giving further details.
