RIYADH, 14 February 2007 — The Riyadh-based Spanish Economic and Commercial Office organized the first-ever forum on the Spanish Office and Contract Furniture Sector at Al-Faisaliah Hotel here on Sunday. Jose Nuno, the economic and commercial counselor and head of the Trade Office, Embassy of Spain, told Arab News that the Saudi- Spanish trade volume reached approximately $800 million annually. The market for office furniture accounts for $50 million out of this volume, adding that “the office furniture investments in the Kingdom spiked during the last two years by 146 percent.”
