BAHRAIN, 14 February 2007 — The 11th international conference, seminars and exhibitions of Project Management Institute -Arabian Gulf Chapter began at the Gulf Hotel in Manama yesterday. The three-day conference, with its theme “Gulf Mega Investments and opportunities” is being held with the support of Bahrain Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa ibn Salman Al-Khalifa. The conference focuses on the current and future investments and opportunities in the Gulf with emphasis on mega projects. The opening ceremony, presided over by Fahmi Bin Ali Al-Jowder, minister of work and housing, was followed by keynote speeches from Saudi Railway Organization President Khalid Al-Yahya and Salim Al-Aydh, senior vice president engineering and operation services, Saudi Aramco.

Investcorp Invests in Hedge Funds

BAHRAIN, 14 February 2007 — Investcorp, the leading global asset manager specializing in alternative investments, has announced the launch of the Investcorp Early Stage Fund (“IESF”). The new fund features, among others, targeted returns of 12-14 percent with annualized volatility of 5-7 percent over the medium term.
