DAMMAM, 6 August 2007 — Registration is on for Filipinos in the Eastern Province who wish to join a four-Friday seminar training on computer assembly, troubleshooting and networking.
Organized by the Association of Computer Enthusiasts of Saudi Arabia (Aces), the training will be held at the International Philippine School in Alkhobar (IPSA) on Aug.10, 17, 24 and 31.
Aces official Ronald Roura said the sessions are to be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the specified dates.
To conduct the training is Salvador “Alvin” Orbigo Jr., an IT specialist for both wired and wireless networking.

ACES is one of the few organizations in the Kingdom providing computer literacy trainings to members of the Filipino community.
In its most recent seminars, Aces dealt on Windows operating systems, the Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Photoshop.
Last year, Aces held a seminar on Linux system administration. Linux is the open source software used as an operating system for a wide variety of computer hardware, including desktop computers, but predominantly in servers.
