JEDDAH, 10 August 2007 — Hardly a week after Talal Al-Mishal’s move from Al-Ahli to Qatari club Almeraikya was announced offers to lure Mishal out of his new club have poured in from various clubs including one from Ahli’s rival Al-Ittihad.

Among the many offers was the SR7 million bid from Ittihad, easily the biggest so far, and SR4 million from a Qatari club, Almeraikya said.

Almeraikya received the offers as soon as the Qatari club announced the Al-Mishal deal for SR2.75 million.

Though Al-Mishal was duty bound to honor the one-year contract after he signed the deal Almeraikya are giving the ace striker the option to choose the best offer for his services, according to sources.

The final decision on Al-Mishal’s transfer will be decided on Sunday after the club meeting in Doha. The club is likely to sell the rights to Al-Mishal to the highest bidder.
