RIYADH, 11 August 2007 — Ziyad Maimish, the head of a regional center that studies contagious diseases, warned that about 4.1 million people worldwide get infections while staying in hospitals. A conference has been planned for December to address this issue in a regional context. Experts from the Gulf, the UK and North America will speak at the conference, the daily Al-Madinah reported.
