RIYADH, 12 August 2007 — Prince Sultan ibn Abdul Aziz Humanitarian City ended its summer campaign activities under the logo: “Helping People to Help Themselves”. The campaign, hosted by Granada Mall in Riyadh, lasted for two weeks and aimed to educate the public of the dangers of diabetes and high blood pressure. About 400,000 men and women received free diabetes blood testing. Tests were also done to detect the level of control over this disabling disease, and patients were advised by an on-site physician regarding the best ways to control diabetes and avoid complications resulting from it. City officials offered visitors information about the high-end rehabilitation center and hospital, as well as gifts and souvenirs.
