DAMMAM, 15 August 2007 — A police officer surrendered to police after he shot his friend in the leg. Police launched a search for the officer after he shot his friend and escaped from the scene. The police officer escaped fearing that his friend was killed. A spokesman for the Sehat police told Arab News that the man surrendered one hour after he committed the crime. Police said the crime was a result of personal disagreement. The case is still under investigation.
