JEDDAH, 20 August 2007 — With two weeks remaining to school, a second grader surprised his mother when he asked if the stock market indicator was green, the daily Al-Riyadh newspaper reported yesterday. Nine-year-old Husam informed his mother that he would not go to schools on the days that the stock market indicator was red. His mother, astonished about her sons remark, asked why? Her son replied that if the indicator is red his teacher is in a horrible mood and takes out his anger on the students. Husam’s mother called up the principal to complain.
