DAMD, 7 September 2007 — A gang of thugs happened to have a member with a falsetto voice so feminine that they came up with a ruse to lure their victims, according to yesterday’s Okaz newspaper. The trick worked like this: The guy with the girly voice would call potential victims pretending to be a lady seeking a hook up. When the rube showed up at the specified location he would be accosted by the thugs who would rob him of his valuables. Police eventually caught up with the gang and arrested them.
Municipal Gaffe Gives Land to the Dead
MAKKAH, 7 September 2007 — She was granted a parcel of land, but it was already too late. She died years ago. According to yesterday’s Okaz daily, the deceased woman became the owner of land as part of a municipal program to provide property to landless Saudis so that they can build a house. Family members promptly applied to receive the land as a posthumous inheritance.
