JEDDAH, 8 September 2007 — Saudi Arabia yesterday denied press reports that its intelligence chief Prince Muqrin had visited Damascus and met with senior Syrian officials.
Saudi Ambassador to Syria Ahmed Al-Qahtani issued the denial in response to a report published by a Lebanese newspaper on Tuesday.
“The media should make sure that the reports and analysis they receive are correct before publishing them in order to achieve closer relations among Arab countries,” Qahtani said.
