Smallest Full HD Movie Camera

From Sanyo comes the Xacti DMX-HD1000, which records at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. The DMX-HD1000 at a volume of only approximately 272 cc and weight of only 268 grams, is the world’s smallest and lightest full HD digital movie camera measuring a compact 90x112.6x54.5mm.

Sporting a unique grip style and a fold-out 2.7-inch LCD that enables everything to stay within the frame, the camera can record about an hour and 25 minutes onto an 8GB SDHC card, using the MPEG-4 AVC codec. For stills, the DMX-HD1000 will record at 8 megapixels, 10x optical zoom, and ISO 3200. On one battery, the camera will operate for two hours of continuous use.

The Xacti DMX-HD1000 is equipped with a “Simple” mode that allows beginners to create high quality high definition movies. Defaults for automatic settings can be restored through a single “Full-Auto” button. The camera is bundled with “Nero 7 Essentials” for playback and “Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 SE” for editing.
