MUMBAI, 12 September 2007 — Maulana Mukhtar Ahmed Nadawi, author, scholar, and former president of Markazee Jamiyat Ahle Hadeeth Hind and chairman and founder of various religious and charitable organizations, passed away in Mumbai on Sunday, according to his son Akram Mukhtar. Awam Trust, Al Bilagh monthly magazine, Tameer-e-Masjid and Darussalafiah Publishing House were among the organizations he was associated with.
