SHARJAH, 16 September 2007 — This year’s CONMEX, Middle East’s largest display of construction machinery, equipment, vehicles, attachments and spares will be held at Expo Center Sharjah on Nov. 5-8.
The exhibition will host more than 280 brands from 23 countries including Saudi Arabia, UK, UAE, Australia, China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan (ROC), Italy, Germany, Russia, Slovenia, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, US, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Belgium, Ireland and Iran.
“The Middle East construction sector has been experiencing unprecedented expansion in the recent past,” said Saif Al-Midfa, director general, Expo Center Sharjah. It is estimated that currently over $1 trillion worth of projects have already been planned or are under way in the GCC region. The UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain are expected to spend further $150 billion on infrastructure over the next three years.
The four-day event will feature the complete range of construction plants, machinery and equipment, earth moving and road construction machinery, construction and commercial vehicles, lifting and conveying equipment, plant and machinery for asphalt, concrete/cement and stone, tools and special systems, formwork and scaffolding, construction site facilities, attachments, spare parts and accessories, communication and navigation equipment, safety equipment, and other related products and services.
The live demonstration of tower cranes, forklifts, earthmovers, concrete batching plants, and other light and medium range machinery, equipment and vehicles in the display area outside Expo Center Sharjah will be of equal interest to everyone associated with the construction industry.
