DAMMAM, 16 September 2007 — A husband divorced his wife at a popular shawarma sandwich stand in this Eastern Province city after the woman became hysterical when two other women complimented him on the way he looks. The husband added insult to his wife’s injury after she began yelling at the women: He ordered her to roll up the windows of the car and to shut up. She not only refused, but also got out of the car. He divorced her on the spot and drove off — leaving us to wonder if perhaps the incident at the shawarma stand was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back of a long-brewing marital dispute.
