JEDDAH, 19 September 2007 — MAF Fashion announced yesterday its expansion in Saudi Arabia with the launch of 11 new stores.

A member of Majid Al-Futtaim Group — a prominent property developer in the region — the retail company said in a statement that the expansion starts with the opening of the first Lucky Brand Jeans store on Tahlia street here. Lucky Brand Jeans is famous for its classic handmade jeans for both women and men. Lucky Brand Jeans is produced with 100 percent authentic Californian premium denim.

By the end of this year, the company will open four stores in Riyadh.

The first of the four stores, located at the Granada shopping center, will house the fashionable jewelry and accessory brand Monet & Co.

The other five stores scheduled to open by the end of year will be at the Galaria shopping center in the capital. The stores opening here will include Mexx, XX by Mexx, Lucky Brand Jeans, Monet & Co. and Liz Claiborne.

The company’s growth across the Kingdom will also see an expansion for Mexx youth collection, presently available at Tabuk store.

MAF Fashion will also open Mexx and XX by Mexx stores in the coming months in Qatif, Qassim, Al-Ahsa and Riyadh, the statement added.

Founded in 2005, MAF Fashion has grown consistently not only in the number of stores, but also in the number of brands within its portfolio. It now operates 80 free-standing stores and represents seven internationally renowned brands across the GCC.
