MAKKAH, 20 September 2007 — The Administration of Health and Environment at Makkah Municipality has launched training courses for the employees of the affiliated offices, which are located inside the central district of Makkah.
The aim of these courses is to train employees on using equipment used in health inspections. The trainers are the employees of Ajyad, Al-Ghazza, Al-Misfala, Al-Aziziya and Al-Maabid districts.
Municipal officials said 156 establishments have been inspected and that 15 percent of these inspections discovered spoiled foods.
Meanwhile, the municipality recently signed a SR10,676,681 contract for the operation and maintenance of the municipality’s computers. Officials didn’t name the company that won the contract, how it was selected or if any other companies were bidding for the deal.
