JEDDAH, 21 September 2007 — Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry has been appointed member of the board of governors (BOG) of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

In a letter to Zafar Iqbal, Federal Minister for Labor, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Ghulam Sarwar Khan hoped his appointment would help improve the performance of the foundation and make it a viable and result-oriented organization that can meet the expectations of overseas Pakistanis.

Zafar is a well-known social figure associated with a multinational company in the Kingdom. He has been in Saudi Arabia for the past 28 years.

During his recent visit to Pakistan, Zafar met President Pervez Musharraf and had a meeting with the labor minister.
