RIYADH, 21 September 2007 — What would you do if an airport parking garage barrier — the one comprised of a wooden plank that goes up and down allowing cars to pass or not — decided not to allow passage?
If you’re in Saudi Arabia, chances are somebody might decide to simply drive through it, snapping the board.
This is exactly what happened at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh earlier this week, according to a report in the daily Al-Yaum. According to the report, the people stuck on one side of the barrier were actually quite patient.
But finally after a long queue had formed with little hope of rescue by an airport parking lot attendant, the person in the front of the line decided to ram his car through the wooden plank.
Afterwards, dozens of cars, in what looked like a scene from a hollywood action movie, poured out and continued on their way.
