JEDDAH, 8 October 2007 — In an initiative that will benefit young Saudi professionals who wish to advance their business careers, Olayan Group is calling for highly motivated candidates to apply for admission to the graduate program at the US-based Kelley School of Business at Indiana University to qualify for a two-year MBA scholarship.
The group is re-launching the Suliman S. Olayan Graduate Fellowship in International Business for 2008-09. Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree (BA or BS) and satisfy the necessary requirements for Kelley’s MBA program. Requirements include a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3 out of 4.
In addition, candidates are further required to score a total of around 650 in the GMAT test and no less than 600 in the TOEFL test. Successful candidates will commence their studies in Bloomington, Indiana, in August 2008.
The final selection of students for the scholarship eligibility will be made by Kelley Business School. AMIDEAST, a nongovernment organization which provides educational services to students intending to study in the United States, will be responsible for the initial processing of applications.

Applications for the scholarship must be submitted in English. Applicants are requested to send all documents by e-mail no later than Nov. 5, 2007.
The business program at Indiana University traces its origin as far back as 1829. The school’s MBA program is consistently ranked among the Top 30 programs in the United States.
The Olayan Group, which was founded by Suliman S. Olayan in 1947 and this year celebrates its 60th year of operation, has long pursued a quiet but substantial program of community enrichment in Saudi Arabia focused on three sectors — youth, health care and education.
