RIYADH, 9 October 2007 — Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has launched a special program to prepare Saudi youths as potential candidates to enter the labor market.
To help the gifted students passing out from universities and educational institutions, Mobily signed an agreement with the Institute of Public Administration as part of the company’s social responsibility initiative to provide employment skills for the gifted students.
The agreement was signed between Abdulrahman Al-Hijan, deputy manager for training at the Institute of Public Administration and Fahd Al-Zahrani, deputy chief of Human Resources department at Mobily.
He said this was the first step the company has taken toward supporting distinguished students to get the required training to enable them to fit into the job market.
During the first phase of the program, Mobily will sponsor 60 students after the holy month of Ramadan. The students will be paid monthly stipends during their studies in addition to a priority pass for training at the company’s facilities.
Upon graduation, they will have the opportunity to work for Mobily and be paid a signing bonus once they sign the employment contract.
