MAKKAH, 11 October 2007 — Police in Makkah yesterday arrested four gamblers and confiscated SR10,000 in cash and a number of mobile phones, according to Maj. Abdul Mohsen Al-Maiman, Makkah police spokesman.
Al-Maiman identified the gang members as Bangladeshi nationals who police believe were using an old house on Haj Street as a base of operations for the gambling racket. Three of the suspects were in possession of valid iqamas while the fourth had no identification.
