DUBAI, 17 October 2007 — Princess Reem Al-Faisal donated one of her photographs from The Divine Presence collection to an online auction hosted by Zabeel Investments. A joint decision has been made that funds raised will be donated to the UAE Red Crescent (UAERC).
Amina Taher, corporate communications director for Zabeel Investments, said: “Princess Reem Al-Faisal’s contribution will garner a lot of attention, from those wishing to own a piece of her artwork. These amazing images capture the spirit and peace of our people, and the auction is a perfect conclusion to the holy month of Ramadan.
Donating to an organization such as the UAE Red Crescent “is in line with the recent Dubai Cares initiative, launched by Sheikh Muhammad ibn Rashid Al-Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai, which seeks to educate underprivileged children in the Arab world, Africa and Asia,” she said.
UAERC is a national humanitarian and voluntary authority that provides aid and assistance without discrimination with regard to nationality, race, gender, color, religion and political or ideological beliefs.
