DAMMAM, 23 October 2007 — Zamil Industrial’s interim financial results for the nine months ending Sept. 30, 2007 showed a marked increase over last year, Khalid A. Al-Zamil, its managing director, said yesterday.
During the first nine months, net profits after Zakat contributions were SR161.3 million ($43 million) compared to SR 154.7 million ($41.3 million), representing an increase of 4.3 percent over the same period in 2006. Net profits for the same period last year accounted for non-operational profits from the sale of investment shares amounted to SR 22 million ($5.9 million).
A comparison of net profits, not withstanding returns from investments, showed an increase of 21.8 percent against profits of SR132.4 million ($35.3 million) in the period under review.
Total turnover for the group was SR2,780.3 million ($741.4 million), a growth of 31.5 percent compared with same period last year.
