MANAMA, 6 November 2007 — ZAIN (Bahrain) has launched another service for its customers to provide them up-to-date stock exchange prices. “Mobile Stock Guide”, the first of its kind in Bahrain, allow customers to follow share prices changes in stocks of their preference without the need to be present at the Bahrain Stock Exchange market. “ZAIN Bahrain has well positioned itself as the company that keeps up with the business world,” Acting Marketing Director Mohammed Al-Hashili said.
KHCB Net Profits Up 67 Percent in Q3
MANAMA, 6 November 2007 — Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) reported a net profit of BD12.1 million for the nine month period ending Sept. 30, a 67 percent increase over the same period in 2006. The bank’s assets grew to BD249 million and shareholders’ equity to BD124 million on the back of an increase in paid-up capital to BD100 million and growth of its Islamic financing assets, which grew by over 300 percent.
