ALIGARH, 10 November 2007 — Federal Minister for Human Resource Development Arjun Singh has agreed to provide special grants for construction of two halls of residence to accommodate 1,000 girls and 1,000 boys each with a cost of 480 million rupees at Aligarh Muslim University.
The response from the minister came when Vice Chancellor Professor P.K. Abdul Azis narrated the extremely crowded conditions of the halls of residence in the university. The vice chancellor said the officials that three hostels would be completed soon.
