JEDDAH, 10 November 2007 — The Ismail Abu Dawood Hall of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry was filled to capacity when it hosted a meeting of the Committee of Young Businessmen over the weekend. The meeting was within the framework of organizing meetings between experienced businessmen and rising young executives to enable the new generation to acquire the expertise required to establish and develop private projects.
Several entrepreneurs, private enterprise owners and investors were among those present. This time, they assembled to hear the success story of Rami Abu Ghazaleh, CEO of ALBAIK Food Systems Ltd.
During the meeting, participants were given the opportunity to freely interact with Ghazaleh. Young and budding businessmen and executives posed a number of questions that revolved around how to prosper in their respective fields.
Fouzan Abdul-Jawad, head of the local Committee of Young Businessmen, said the committee targeted young entrepreneurs under the age of 40 and had been successful and productive in organizing several meetings and operations that boosted its objectives. It recently hosted an event with Al-Baraka Group Chairman Saleh Kamel.
“Such meetings aim to extend young entrepreneurs’ culture and business experience seek to show them how to face the challenges that they may encounter,” Abdul-Jawad said, adding that the committee provides financial and technical guidance on the establishment and management of business projects, and has the overall intention of motivating the youth to take initiatives and follow a path of creativity to successfully achieve their ambitions.
