JEDDAH, 11 November 2007 — Aftab Arif Mohiuddin, an eight-year-old Grade 2 student of International Indian School, Jeddah, was fatally hit by a car on Arbaeen Street on Thursday evening. The boy was crossing the street while returning from the school’s sports events in which he won a prize, a school press release said.
The Consulate General of India, and IISJ’s managing committee, staff and students expressed their shock over Aftab’s death.
The school will remain closed tomorrow in memory of the student.
